FAQs

  • We build all of our strings exclusively with Bloodline Fibers, a premium material known for its durability, stability, and consistency. Each series uses a specialized Bloodline Fiber blend:

    • Competition Series – Bloodline Fibers Natural material

    • Hunter Series – Bloodline Fibers with a variety of color options.

    • Recurve Series – Proprietary Glory Pro

  • We use Bloodline BOA ICE for all our string servings, providing durable, smooth, and consistent performance. For the center serving, we use BCY Powergrip, ensuring maximum stability and protection where it matters most.

  • Absolutely! Since we build so many variations of strings especially with different strand counts, it is necessary to run specific center serving sizes based off your nock. When ordering please make sure to specify your preferred finished diameter or the nock you will be shooting.

  • We do not serve our end loops because serving can make them stiff and brittle, increasing the risk of breakage when adjusting draw length, cam timing, or poundage. Instead, we wrap the tag end of the string, creating a more stable end loop. (The Recurve Series includes served end loops due to the construction of those strings.)

  • No, you do not need to wax your strings. Modern day string material is produced with wax built into the spool of fiber therefore eliminating the need to wax your strings. Waxing your string can actually cause harm and damage, as wax allows moisture to be absorbed into the material. Wax will leave a sticky residue on the string fostering and environment for dirt and debris to stick to it, thus each time you are waxing your string you are rubbing that dirt into the internal part of the fiber you are breaking the strands down internally.

  • We now offer Speed Nocks for archers seeking a slight boost in arrow speed. Keep in mind, the added weight increases string whip and oscillation, which can break down fibers over time and reduce string longevity. Our strings are engineered for maximum durability and perform best without them—but for those chasing speed, Speed Nocks are available as an option.

  • No, after many years of building strings without speed nocks we have not found it to be an issue and have found that bows are still easy to tune and in fact stay in tune longer because the string is not getting broken down over time from the added weight of the speed nocks.

  • We do not like to do pin striping because of the varying amounts of dye in each string color. The brighter the color such as flo colors, has a greater amount of dye and also wax which both factor into creating increased stretch. We are confident in our building and stretching process, but

  • Over the years we have found that for a right handed shooter our strings will cause your arrow to come out clocking to the left. For a left handed shooter the arrow tends to come out clocking to the right. With that being said, we have done testing with right vs left wing helical and have not found enough evidence to justify needing to fletch your arrows according to the way your arrow is clocking.

  • We twist our strings “Forward” or better explained as clockwise.
